Trataka means ‘to gaze steadily’. The practice of Trataka is known to be the best technique to develop the mind of a Yogi.
There are 2 types of Trataka practice: Bahir and Antar Trataka. Bahir (or external Trataka) is the practice to focus on an outer object, whereas Antar Trataka is based on inner visualisation.
Trataka helps to develop the power of concentration as the energy is diverted at one point throughout the practice. Regular practice of Trataka automatically leads you to state of meditation.
